ATTRACTIONS
Welcome to Siem Reap!
For people with less time, but who are eager to gain just an impression about the Kingdom of Cambodia. Therefore, Siem Raep is the perfect place. UNESCO's world heritage has claimed Siem Raep's most magnificent sacred sites, Angkor Wat as one of their official "Seven Wonders". Beside temples, ruins and monuments you can also observe the rural life outside the charming city, while doing a side trip to one of the floating villages on the Tonle Sap Lake, Bird sanctuary Prek Toal, Waterfall with carving under the water and other remote temples.
Siem Reap has undergone a staggering renaissance in the last few years, mainly due to the arrival of tourists using the town as a base for visiting the temples. Despite this recent boom in tourism, however, the Siem Reap province itself, located on the shores of the Tonle Sap Lake, remains one of the poorest in the country.
